BFSA teaming up with SAC to benefit CASA of New Orleans
Dear Colleagues:
As the holidays approach, the Tulane Staff Advisory Council (SAC) has once again selected a community project. Because of the great response to last year’s effort (we collected over $3,000 in toys, gift cards and cash), SAC is once again partnering with the BFSA this year and together we will assist children who are without parents. As you recall, the name of the sponsoring agency is CASA of Orleans, CASA of Jefferson and CASA of St. Tammany. Through the agency, toys are given to children in foster homes, group homes and hospitals. There are over 400 in Orleans, Jefferson and St. Tammany parishes. They are mostly teenagers and mostly boys.
How can you help? You may give a cash donation or you may purchase a gift with the maximum dollar amount of $20, but of course your donation and/or gift can be less. Ideas for gifts are: CD players with headphones, wallets, watches, purses, gift cards (Walmart and Target), and Aeropostale hoodies - size large or x-large.
The deadline for all gifts and donations is December 4th. If you choose to send a check, it should be made payable to Tulane University with the memo at the bottom to read SAC Holiday gift program. It can be sent via campus mail to:
